Much to the frustration of many people, I refuse to Twitter or Facebook, partly because I’m an obstinate cow and partly because I don’t know how and intend to steadfastly keep refusing all offers to teach me.
However! I adore receiving letters. This is partly because I love chatting to my postie and want her to remain gainfully employed. But I also have an obscure fondness for mailboxes and receiving correspondence that’s not from my bank. (Bank – if you’re reading this I do NOT want to increase my credit card limit. Ever. I don’t know why you won’t give up. You remind me of a particularly annoying ex-boyfriend I once had. )
Anyway… while I realise that letters are time consuming to write and require paper and ink and an envelope and stamps and a trip to the mailbox; on the plus side you could combine your errand of posting the letter with walking your dog and a detour to the milkbar to buy some chocolate. So really, when you think about it, why WOULDN’T you prefer the old-fashioned, happy hound, chocolate-inclusive option?
So if you’d like to write me a letter care of one of the lovely people below, and if you remember to include your postal address, I’ll be so touched by all of the effort that I know you’ve gone to that I promise to personally reply.
